1872 makedo tree1872 makedo tree

I am super thrilled with how these trees came out. I got the idea from the article in A Simple Life magazine on make do trees. The base of the tree is a tin can wrapped in aged tan/red striped fabric.  Please note this fabric pattern will vary depending on availablitiy but it will always be red and tan.The tree is hand made using a branch piece as the trunk that we drilled holes in and added sprigs of primitive greens to form the tree. We wired tiny lantern lights onto some of the branches and added a rusty star to the top. He can is filled with Spanish moss and we stenciled 1872 onto the fabric. A wonderful addition to your primitive Christmas decor. Place on a bench, on top of a cupboard, or in a trencher on your island surrounded by cloved pomanders, dried pomegranates, and cinnamon sticks, or on your hearth.  Each trtee will vary just slightly as they are hand made. They measure approximately 23"hX14"w.
