I just love this item!! I got the idea out of an old A Simple Life issue, This standing winder is 15"hX4 1/2"w and is handmade from our recycled lumber and a stick. We wrapped some brown wool around the stick and tied it with twine. This would look perfect diplayed on top of an antique sewing machine table or an a cupboard next to a treenware bowl filled with wool and a wool comb.
