I got this idea from that wondefully prim book "They Made Do" by Jill Peterson. I took some of our old beat up rusty cans, punched holes into the bottoms, added a tobacco stick handle, and jute hanger and there you have it....a very primitive hand held strainer. These are the perfect addition to an old wooden bowl or trencher filled with other prim kitchen gadgets or hung on a peg rack with some old gourds, some dried garlands, and an apron. These will vary just slightly in size but will be approximately 10"h. Each one will come with a jute loop for hanging.
